Magnum York was awarded the Associa 5-Star Customer Service Champion Award due to the thoughtful and quick response from our Edmonton Rental team. The team handled a severe fire in one of the communities we serve, our hearts go out to all those impacted. We congratulate our team which displayed an incredible level of speed and professionalism. Magnum York manages units in a large condominium located in Edmonton that suffered a devastating fire in the cold of February, resulting in 12 tenants losing everything they owned.

With an early arrival to the office, Debbie Michaels (Senior Property Manager/Associate) had contacted every tenant, and by 3 pm, had organized temporary or permanent accommodations for everyone affected.

“This is an incredible example of family spirit, team work and giving back to the communities where we live and serve!”

5-Star Principle: Demonstrate Care

Peter Best – President/Broker, Magnum York

The Magnum York team, comprising Debbie Michaels, Landon Lovig, Agnes Veniegas, and Ivan Ciornii secured rental discounts for displaced residents as well as grocery gift cards to replenish their pantries. The team helped residents coordinate and organize their move into their new units. They collected donations from Magnum York staffers and even donated their own furniture to help make the tenants’ new units feel more like home.

ASSOCIA CARES

Magnum York is part of the Associa family and we’re inspired by Associa Cares, the charitable affiliate of Associa. Associa Cares has the goal of providing financial assistance for people who lose their residence due to natural or man-made disasters.

Thanks to our incredible base of volunteer support, the people who live and work in the communities where we do business, we’re notified quickly when tragedy occurs. Our local branches set in motion our response, notifying our national staff, and helping to determine the need and the response appropriate to the event. It’s a testament to the power of caring on an individual and a company level, and I’m pleased to know that we’ve been able to help so many during their most challenging times.
