The Pine Lake Restoration Society (PLRS) held it’s Clean Lake Day fund raiser this past August 15. The event was held at the HUB community centre near Pine Lake, Alberta. This is the second year that MAGNUM has been involved in the event.

Memberships into the society are $10 and each membership purchased is put into a draw for a gift. This years gift was a beautiful BBQ and patio heater.

The event is a great time with hay rides, face painting, free hamburgers and salads, live band and dance, and a shuttle bus to get everyone home safe.

There were a variety of places to spend your money, the silent auction, bucket draws, two 50/50 draws (the split for each draw was over $225) and a couple of live auction items.

MAGNUM cleaned up on the bucket draws by winning two buckets. We also won one of the silent auctions items for a gift certificate for 500 full color business cards and a wind breaker jacket.

The event raised over $12,500 for the society which will help with it’s on going work around the lake.

I would like to thank the society for their hard work during the year. MAGNUM hopes to be invited back next year.
