Keeping your insurance up to date and making sure you have the correct coverage can sometimes seem like an endless task. It is one of those things you might keep thinking about and pushing it off until the next day, but that needs to stop.  Alberta summers bring all sorts of crazy weather, from Flash Floods to Tornados and everything in between… Now is the time to check your coverage, make sure you are completely covered and your premiums are paid. In the event of a disaster you don’t want to be scrambling when it might already be too late.

Be aware of your deductible, how much is it? Do you know what it would cost you out of your own pocket should your home or rental property be affected? Being fully informed is the best way to protect yourself. If you look after your insurance yourself then call your agent, or check your policy. If you are covered on a group policy then check with the coordinator just to be sure you were renewed.

The article that got me thinking about this topic was mainly about Hurricanes and keeping yourself covered from the wind damage that can go along with them. There were many valid points that relate to us here in Alberta though, if you want to read the full article you can check it out at:
