Giving Back Holiday Season associa cares Magnum York

As “Alberta’s Property Manager,” Magnum York is proud of our contributions to over 30 communities across Alberta. With the holiday season now upon us, we will be marking the occasion by supporting our MYVendor’s charitable causes to give back this season.

Supporting The Mustard Seed

Magnum York is supporting those finding themselves in difficulty in a province with unique challenges. The Mustard Seeds’ mission is to “build hope and well-being for our most vulnerable citizens” with complimentary locations to our own across the province.

Our goal is to provide much-needed backpacks for The Mustard Seeds “Winter Wish Lists”:

If you’d like to join us in support of The Mustard Seed, consider:

And, here are some essential items you could drop off:

In Calgary, we’ll be teaming up with Rocky Cross Construction North (RCCN) for their Backpack drive on December 8th!

That’s part of Rocky Cross’s amazing 12 Days of Christmas Initiative; giving back to communities as well as showing support to staff over 12 days … great job, RCCN, it’s the most wonderful time of the year!

In Edmonton, FirstOnSite has generously donated much-needed items and will be partnering with us to put together backpacks for the Mustard Seed in Edmonton in mid-December.

Introducing Associa Cares

As Magnum York is now part of the Associa family, we’re inspired by Associa Cares and look forward to bringing this initiative to our community. Associa Cares is the charitable affiliate of Associa, with the goal of providing financial assistance for people who lose their residence due to natural or man-made disasters.

Associa Cares has been involved in Canada for several years, notably contributing to flood relief in Calgary in 2013:

When we created Associa Cares, we sought to find a way to help our friends and neighbors when the unthinkable happens. After all, it can be difficult to know what to do, especially from afar, and to know how best to help the people that really need it. Thanks to our incredible base of volunteer support, the people who live and work in the communities where we do business, we’re notified quickly when tragedy occurs. Our local branches set in motion our response, notifying our national staff, and helping to determine the need and the response appropriate to the event. It’s a testament to the power of caring on an individual and a company level, and I’m pleased to know that we’ve been able to help so many during their most challenging times.
